Certifications of Ethics Agreement Compliance for Trump Officials


In May 2017, the Office of Government Ethics instituted a new requirement for all Executive Branch officials who require Senate confirmation. No later than three months after being confirmed, they must complete a form swearing under penalty of fines and imprisonment that they’ve taken all the steps they said they would take in their ethics agreements, which involve cutting ties with companies, getting rid of certain stocks, and other steps to avoid conflicts of interest.
